Low-Level Light Therapy

Decelerate your skin’s aging with gentle light

Low-level Light Therapy (LLLT), also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to improve skin health and retain its youthfulness. The light reduces inflammation and stimulates collagen production in the skin. This can reduce and prevent redness and and retain the skin's firmness over the long term.

How does LLLT work?

In LLLT treatments, specific wavelengths emitting protons are directed at the skin. These protons are absorbed by certain molecules in the skin, where they trigger reactions. At everskin, we combine light with photoactive gels, which contain active ingredients and increase the effect of the light entering into the skin. This triggers fibroplasts, the cells responsible for producing the fibres collagen and elastin, which are responsible for your skin’s firmness and elasticity. The light also reduces inflammation mechanisms of the skin. Inflammation is one of the main reasons of cell death, i.e., skin ageing. In other words: LLLT at everskin not only slows down skin ageing, it also triggers skin rejuvenation.
